Great value for your money with comfortable and eco-friendly rooms. The location is paradise, right on the beach with the entrance to Corcovado National Park just steps away. The staff at the lodge are super friendly, fun, and always ready to help.
Breakfast items could be more varied and flavorful.

We had an incredible time as a family with kids at this little paradise in the jungle by the sea. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location offered stunning views and sounds of nature. The beach and sunsets were breathtaking, and there were plenty of fun activities to keep us entertained. The fresh smoothies and cocktails at the bar were outstanding, and the food was healthy and abundant. We loved staying in the monkey cabins on the hillside and the ocean cabins by the main lodge. a perfect place for a relaxing and adventurous family vacation.
Felt like total VIPs, couldn't find anything to complain about.

We absolutely loved our stay at La Leona! The location was amazing, surrounded by stunning natural beauty and abundant wildlife. The staff were fantastic, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had a wonderful time. The bar staff made incredible smoothies and cocktails, and the food was healthy and delicious. The different types of cabins offered unique benefits, and we recommend staying in both the monkey cabins on the hillside and the ocean cabins. Our nine-year-old daughter had a blast, feeling safe and enjoying playing in the nearby stream. The lodge is also conveniently located for jungle hikes and wildlife sightings.
Felt privileged, no reason to complain.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, with easy access to the surrounding nature. The private preserve behind the hotel had beautiful trails where we could explore and enjoy the forest. Another great aspect was the abundance of wildlife in the area. We saw a variety of birds, monkeys, and even a tapir during our stay. It was truly a nature lover's paradise.
the lack of ventilation or air conditioning in the tents made it uncomfortable, especially during the midday heat. Additionally, the towels provided had a foul smell of fish, even after they were replaced.

Our stay at La Leona was great. The best was the unique and beautiful location. It takes some time to get there but it's definitely worth the journey. The staff welcomed us with a drink and were very friendly and helpful during our entire stay. Breakfast is good and changes everyday. We had a tent with a private openair bathroom, which was very special. There is free water and ice-tea available at the accommodation. The tours you can book are great too, we saw many animals and the guides are professional and fluent in English. You can charge your electronic services for free at the reception. No WiFi, but this will make your stay even more special.
I do recommend this hotel.

My partner and I stayed at La Leona for 3 nights and it was an incredible experience. The secluded location provided us with a much-needed escape from the busy world. We loved the unique outdoor shower surrounded by palm trees and the clean and cozy room. The abundance of candles added a romantic touch to our evenings. Being disconnected from technology allowed us to fully appreciate the stunning array of wildlife, including parrots and monkeys. The friendly staff accommodated my vegetarian diet and the food was delicious. The common area was a great space to interact with other guests and share stories. Plus, the proximity to Corcovado National Park and the beautiful, secluded beaches made for an unforgettable stay.
Totally recommend this hotel.

The beachfront location was amazing! Being able to wake up and see the sunrise from my bed was a dream come true. The staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any questions or concerns. The guided tours offered were a highlight of my stay, especially the night walk through the rainforest. Plus, the lodge was clean and well-maintained.
The food was a bit overpriced for the quality and quantity provided. It would have been nice to have more information readily available about tour options and dinner arrangements, instead of having to ask.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
